Description

"Pfc. Emmet J. Clark, guest of Dorothy Warmbold, tally his score on completion of ninth hole on No.1 course. Game ended on tee because Clark hit his ball into the lagoon. During World War II, Medinah's Women's Golf Committee began an annual golf outing at the club for convalescents and veterans from local military hospitals. Soaring above the trees in the background is Medinah clubhouse's smokestack mock minaret. It lasted from 1926 through the 1940s.
